point of kyc is to confirm that a customer is who they claim to be and to prevent illegal activities such as money laundering funding terrorism and tax evasion if a crypto exchange doesn't perform kycThen it could be liable for those kinds of illegal activities choose continue next type in your full legal name exactly how it is written on your driver's license or id once you've done this choose continue crypto.com will then ask permission to take photos in video this is so you canTake a photo of your id as well as take a selfie choose whichever option works best for you personally i use my driver's license next you'll be asked to scan or take a photo of the front and back of your driver's license make sure the photos are in focus andThat all essential details on the license are clear and not blurred if everything looks good choose continue then you'll be prompted to take a selfie with your phone camera make sure and center your face in a well lighted area and take the photo this sometimes canTake a few tries so don't worry if it doesn't work right away when you've done this choose continue once your document and selfie are submitted crypto.com says they'll notify you usually within two to three days and let you know that your account has been verified that said most folks can get verifiedThe same day if not within the first hour tap anywhere to continue once verified crypto.com will notify you via text or email the first time you open up your crypto.com app you should see this screen letting you know that your documents and selfie have been approved tap anywhere to continue you'll then bePrompted to set and reconfirm a six-digit passcode this is the passcode you'll use to sign into your account as well as confirm transactions on the crypto.com app make sure the passcode is one that you don't use for any other account and keep the passcode written down in a safe and secure locationOnce confirmed you'll see this screen letting you know your passcode is confirmed tap anywhere to continue next select your payment currency then choose continue once done you'll be presented with this screen confirming your currency of choice tap anywhere to continue and then enter your new six digit passcodeNext you might be prompted to review and accept new terms and conditions check the box then choose confirm finally you'll be directed to the crypto.com home page
