so you know how when you play with building blocks you stack them on top of each other to make something cool like a tower or a house well think of blockchain like a special kind of digital building blocks instead of using blocks to build towers blockchain is made up of blocks of information but they're all stored on computers each block has some special information in it kind of like a digital puzzle piece but here's the really cool part these blocks are connected to each other just like how the pieces of a puzzle fit together and once a block is added to the chain it's really hard to change it or take it away just like how it's tough to change a puzzle piece once it's in place this chain of blocks is called a blockchain and it's used for lots of things like keeping track of digital money like Bitcoin or making sure that important information is stored safely and can't be changed so in simple terms blockchain is like a digital puzzle made of blocks that stores important information securely pretty neat huh
