Discover the Best 5 Crypto Wallets to Consider Following the Ledger Incident
Introduction
Welcome to BitBoy Crypto! In this article, we will be discussing hardware wallets and providing you with our top pick for the best hardware wallet. We will also address the recent controversy surrounding Ledger and their backdoor vulnerability. Let’s dive in!
The Ledger Controversy
Ledger, a popular hardware wallet provider, recently faced a major setback when it was discovered that their wallets had a backdoor vulnerability that could potentially expose users’ private keys. This raised serious concerns about the security and trustworthiness of Ledger wallets.
To make matters worse, Ledger stated that if the government subpoenas them for users’ private keys, they would have to comply and hand over the information. This revelation caused a massive uproar in the crypto community, as it goes against the fundamental principles of decentralization and privacy that cryptocurrencies stand for.
As a result, BitBoy Crypto made the decision to no longer support Ledger until they address and rectify this issue. Ledger’s CTO is scheduled to appear on the show to explain their stance, but unless they reverse course and eliminate the backdoor feature, it is unlikely that BitBoy Crypto will resume its support for Ledger.
Our No. 1 Pick: BC Vault
When it comes to hardware wallets, our top pick is BC Vault. This wallet is widely regarded as the most secure option available. BC Vault has implemented innovative security measures to protect users’ funds, and they have even gone as far as putting one bitcoin on every wallet to prove its invulnerability. To date, no one has been able to crack their wallet.
BC Vault offers a range of features that set it apart from other hardware wallets. It provides secure backups, eliminates the need for time-consuming and user-unfriendly applications, and ensures proven security by eliminating online attack vectors, batteries, and wireless connections. Additionally, BC Vault offers a multitude of other features that make it a standout choice for crypto enthusiasts.
Safe: The Trusted Decentralized Custody Protocol
Another excellent option for a hardware wallet is Safe (formerly known as Gnosis). Safe is a decentralized custody protocol and collective asset management platform built on ethereum. It is highly trusted within the crypto community and offers a secure and user-friendly wallet experience.
BitBoy Crypto has placed its trust in Safe and currently uses it to store BEN coin and liquidity pool assets. Safe’s Vault feature provides an added layer of security, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a reliable hardware wallet.
Other Notable Wallets
While BC Vault and Safe are our top recommendations, there are several other notable hardware wallets worth considering. Exodus Wallet, a desktop wallet, has been a reliable option for many years, allowing users to manage and swap over 260 cryptocurrencies.
SafePal is another wallet that deserves recognition. It offers both hardware and software wallets, providing users with flexibility and security. SafePal’s affordable hardware wallet, the SafePal S1, is a popular choice among crypto enthusiasts.
Trust Wallet, brought to you by binance, is a hot wallet that supports a wide range of cryptocurrencies. It offers a user-friendly interface and is compatible with various networks, making it a convenient option for mobile users.

I bought the 100 percent air gapped Ngrave Zero Wallet. It's pricey but I believe its the safest wallet with the highest level hardware.
Do not use an Ellipal wallet. I used one for a year and had to work with their support more than half that time for various problems but the really concerning part was when I sent everything to a Ledger I did not have to interact with the hardware wallet to do it. What good is a hardware wallet if you can send without using it?
new sub & thanks for the run thru & lowdown on the showdown. God Bless
I find it interesting people find it hard to conclude which wallets are the best. What measures are they using (cost, coin support etc…) to indicate the quality for the rating or is it based off personal experiences? Things that make you go hmmmmm…
Wow this is wild. I was literally about to update to 2.2.1 and had to do a quick google before I went through with it. Thank god I did that before going through with the firmware update. Anyone know if the suggested wallets here support all the same tokens as ledger?
why the fuck is the ad in the middle of the video so loud?
So you're sayin you trust hot wallets over a ledger too? And how do we know they would never do the same thing? idk if there's any such thing as "Safe" in this space 😮💨
what about trezor?
I lost half of my XRP($900) because of this “firmware” ledger debacle. Thank goodness I only had half on ledger. I will neverrr use Ledger again.
Fake news like CNN….it is the ledger X that will have the opt in….I use the S
Haha someone got fired for being a junkie😂🤣🤣🤣
I used your link to my BCvault let’s GOOOOO
Let me get this straight. BC Vault puts 1 bitcoin (currently worth $27,000) onto every wallet they sell. And, so are you telling me that BC Vault gives away to "nowhere'svile", i.e. locked up on every wallet they sell, and are you telling me that BC Vault is NEVER going to want this bitcoin back off these wallets?? Serioulsy ?? Sounds like the biggest bunch of nonsense I have ever heard. Imaging bitcoin going to a million dollars in value, and BC Vault has hundreds if not thousands of wallets out there in the universe that they certainly MUST have the ability to tap into and remove from these wallets. NO THANK YOU. DUDE.
You missing the BitBox lol
What do you think about dcent bio wallet
Really pushing that Stake Safe Wallet hard… 🧐
So, how do bcvault redeem the btc they left on every wallet they sold?
What happens if they sold 21 mil wallets?
How about NGRAVE Zero wallet? Can you do a review on it?
No matter what else is presented here, I will never use Ledger again, ever. I lost a LOT of money because of Ledger. Their customer service is just plain awful and I lost all of my money because of them. I will consider another cold wallet, but never Ledger.
