I am seeing people stand toe to toe and either full auto mag dump or dump a mag as fast as they can in semi auto without anyone landing a single shot. Its just fucking stupid. It literally looks as bad as that piece of shit COD with the amount of mag dumping I see. The number of campers is through the roof and whats worse most of them arent even actively defending or attacking a point. I have seen a ton of matches grind on forever that by the time they finish half the damn server logs off.
There are now opposing lines forming between caps that are close where no one, NO ONE is actively pushing the attack. No one flanking just guys sitting in a bush waiting for the an enemy to attack thats sitting in a bush waiting for you to attack. I love a good pitch battle but its NOT FUN if no one is pushing you making you scramble a bit. The guys that would usually do that have effectively been knee capped. Shit I wont even spawn in unless there is a HAB or rally within 200m of where I want to go and there is no small number of people doing the same thing.
There are aspects I absolutely love such as suppression from grenades/GL's and all other explosions. It really adds the to immersion and its also extremely useful when suppressing infantry in buildings. However there are two things that are insanely infuriating to me and thats how long it takes to stabilize a rifle after running a short distance (this in NO WAY represents reality whats so ever) Its a handicap for the sake of having a handicap. I am more than familiar with running around with firearms as I did it for 4 years in the Army and 10 years as a USPSA and 3 gun competitor. The other is the punch from suppression, its bullshit, part of my training was to have round fired over us and it simply does not have that effect on you. Sure the first round may surprise you but once you are aware its simply not like that.
Best updated Iβve ever played for a game imo. I would love to see Squads new infantry mechanics implemented in other βtacticalβ fps games. But for now this update solidified Squad as the king of tactical/realistic fps.

I love this update. I took a break from squad for a while because the game was getting a bit stale to me. This update brought it back to life and its so much more fun to play now. I feel like most people that dislike the update are too used to fast paced games. Real combat is not about fast pace. I know the people that stuck around respect what the devs have done and understand why they did what they did. Yeah sure maybe a few things can be adjusted but overall I think they did an awesome job on the new combat update.
I think it's a mixed bag. On one hand, I think the fights are better, however the layers of skill needed to manage the recoil, the camera sway, the new weapon handling, the way your health impacts an already difficult to use system is just too much. I'm not particularly attached to the Call of Duty / Battlefield style that squad used to have, but I think the current state of the weapon play has WAY too high of a skill curve. It reminds me of CSGO with how contrived some of the aspects turned out to be. There's nothing wrong with needing skill, but the game went from a point and click adventure game to what might as well be rocket science. It's too complex and it isn't what I paid for five years ago, and it's certainly not what I thought it would turn into when it came out of early access three years ago.

only if my squad worked as it did before all those graphic updates, then i would have played the game as i usually did, but since they did it with the graphics i can't play the game anymore, everything looks blury and the vehicles and characters models are pixeled. Im falling under the textures and my fps dropped almost twice, when the server gets full combined with a big map then i have like 20 fps (before i had around 60-80 fps in same conditions). Have no idea how to fix this.
Iβm sorry but no this update made the gunplay terrible. I have played multiple games with FPS and the sway is way too much. I played before the update. Had about 100 hours and before it was perfect.

Honestly I donβt agree with the 10m arming distance. Thatβs my only complaint. Gameplay is good but you need to get a good drop on a vehicle in my opinion and 10m is too close.
Its alwasy the same after a big change and than it goes down lets see in 1 month. They increased the sprinting and nurfed the stamina and now after 2 years they are fixing it with weapon mehanics to fix the to fast sprinting and the stamina changes. You go to the doctor and broke your leg and he says you need to be operated at your head makes sense right ? And its not only that all changes fucked stuff up and the same mentality aplyed. Rather to go back before the change that was a misteke they dont give a fuck and say on we changed the leg we will change the head to fix the leg !!! πππ And aperently the people who get it are the minority ??? Why do we than making so many videos of other games ? Most people dont like it because it dosent make sense ! You cant sprint to the other side of the road and hit a tank at 100m becauae you need to pose for 3 seconds π. And the sprinting got redused slytly 5-10% but you are still a atlete that can sprint but cant handle his gun and when he has no stamina he can stll walk fast but he is out of breath π. And exsacly that they changed 2-3 years ago ! Stamina was consumed faster. So you were sprinting and than had to stop there was no fast movment without stamina ! And it slowed the gameplay down ! Which they wanted to fo with this bulshit to ! But let me tell you people get still moved down sprinting after a month and it wont change because they can and so long they wont solow gameplay down. The campers were in the game before and now they can bich about not moving nice ! The best is the magic bulets that blur your schreen at 50 m because the enemy shot first with a AK single fire and you are fucked even when he misses 2-3 shots because he was the first to shoot he is almost garantied to win. Same on the longer engagements because the damage model was changed ! One shot or 2 and they are down mostly 1. Here its who gets the scope first alined up and so long you can hit you winn ! But YT that lost all credibility known better ! Right ? You and all your YT idiots couldent explaine that players cant ignore the map on M and to move it to a other key so they can always open it up not shoot a your own team, being able to folow SL and so on. But we rather tell people to use the squers so you can see where the AT is than rather use the triangle to be able to read the map and see not only where people are moving but where they are lucking and that way read the map ! But ofcourse you couldebt it figure it out because you dont use the map as much you need to. And even whe some made videos on the map they failed to mention you need to move the M key even when some did moved it and they use it in the videos for exsample driving a vehicle and still he makes a gouide on the map and dosent explain what it ofers and it is absolutly nesesary to move the key to play the game. But no lets shoot friendly or walk past the enemy and the enemy didebt get it eather, so realistic ! And its the idiots who complaine the most not even understanding that anybody can see them on the map ! The truth is you are one of thouse idiots that all the years dident get it that the MAP of squad is a prostetic that bridges the gap betwen players and a real solder ! By using a map as in squad you can act as a realistic solder because you know what is happening around you and it actualy enables you to be a SL. Which means that Arma will never be able to build a good SL system even when Arma 3 already had the GPS so you could see atleast that 250m where your squad is ! But unless you can see like in squad who is alive and who downd at the other side of the map a SL sytem will always fail and it does and will fail in the future ! Its painful to see the gameplay in arma comlered to squad its like braindead playing and it mostly more younger people because at some point the older one cant take it anymore and when that one Clan fals alart it game over. Squad recrutment for bigger clans wasent realy active for years and it survived. For exsample the realy god SOG preri fire or even Arma 3. When people who are weterans rather play Planetside 2 because its more free and the kids broke the emersion than you see what Arma is and right now it has better gameplay than Squad ! I couldent predict this but I am not suprised !
I will not come back to Squad. I don't care what the player counts say. The infantry over haul was trash for gunfights and removed individual skill.
